This is where it starts - the initial connection is established. We'll build that relationship foundation together with you and gain a clear understanding of the job itself, roles, responsibilities, what it takes to be successful in the role, budget, the "nice to haves," and so on - the full download.
When we connect for the "job order" portion of our engagement early on - part of our approach here will be to ask a number of specific questions and probe accordingly toward obtaining as much relevant info as we can gather.
This could include (but not limited to) the following key elements: (a) Company Overview (description, mission, culture, applicable market info, etc.); (b) Roles & Responsibilities (including specific accountabilities when possible); (c) Key Competencies, etc.
Going beyond just a job description or vague info here is key toward helping us do our part toward hiring that "A player" and right fit individual for the role. We actually like to create our own version of a job scorecard in our support and for reference.
Strategize - Once we've connected and gathered essential info, we'll share our game plan and approach, seek input and ensure expectations are set together.
2) Headhunt
Once step 1 is complete, and now armed with a clear understanding of what is needed and sought after, a quick turnaround here ensues - we can immediately begin the search for the right candidate.
Using our toolbox, we deploy multiple "irons in the fire" simultaneously toward a complete and holistic recruiting strategy. Within this, we work to balance the use of technology along with the non-technological approaches - the reality is some tools in the toolbox lend themselves better to the use of efficient technology than others. What's important is using multiple methods at the same time toward actually having a complete approach as opposed to a more reactive wait and see approach.
3) Initial Evaluation & Screen
Our initial evaluation and screen is extremely thorough - and we use an extensive career history form as well as our own snapshot form to help present a meaningful and insightful evaluation and hopefully pave the way for helping with your own evaluation as well. Getting the answers to key questions and utilizing our experience and knowledge around behavioral interview techniques also help us get what we need to deliver.
Resumes are one thing - and with our trained eye and experience, there is plenty to look out for and watch out for as well. But even the better resumes out there are generally too vague when it comes down to it - and so beyond evaluating for the some of the basics and essentials of course, it can be a real challenge to try and differentiate between your "A players" and "non-A players."
4) Interviews
We're ready to assist and support this process in a way that compliments your own. Aside from scheduling interviews between candidate and client, we're there to assist and add additional value where it might make sense. Whether that be advising on competency based interview or structured approaches, interview feedback, or beyond, we're there to partner.
5) Negotiate
With our service and partnership lens in mind, we're here to help assist in negotiation of offers in time sensitive fashion and ensure and represent accordingly.
6) Placement
Again, we work to effectively and close the candidate on the offer toward placement.
The Communication & Feedback Loop
Wrapped in all of this and throughout each stage of the process is the communication and feedback loop - this is a step that is interspersed throughout the process - as it's so fundamental to a successful experience for all involved. Expect proactive and timely responsiveness throughout all stages of the process.
